Scott Properties entered into a Promotion Agreement on part of the site in 2016, and negotiated with the adjoining Landowner and their Agent to bring them into the agreement on an equalised basis. The site was then promoted to the emerging Local Plan as a single site, and achieved an allocation in the Draft Plan. Following a pre-application meeting, consultation with two Parish Councils and a public consultation, an outline planning application for 73 dwellings was submitted in 2018, and planning permission for 67 dwellings was granted in 2021. The site was taken to the open market, and the site was sold in 2021 following two rounds of competitive bidding.
