Irchester
The site had been identified as a potential allocation in the emerging Neighbourhood Plan when Scott Properties entered into a Promotion Agreement with the Landowner in 2017. Further representations were made to this process, and a pre-application discussions were held with the Borough Council, Parish Council, and Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group. The site was allocated in the Neighbourhood Plan in 2018, and an outline planning application for up to 75 homes was submitted in 2019 following public consultation. The Planning Committee voted unanimously to approve the application, and the site was sold to Mulberry Homes in 2021 following a short but competitive marketing process. Alongside the new dwellings, the development will provide new public open space including a play area, and an area of 0.75 acres to be gifted to the Parish Council for community use.
