A number of historic planning applications had been refused on the site when Scott Properties entered into an Option Agreement with the Landowner in 2015. Pre-application advice was sought, and engagement took place with the Parish Council and local stakeholders through a public consultation. An outline application for up to 26 homes was submitted in 2016 and refused at Planning Committee later that year. An appeal was subsequently submitted and allowed in 2017. Following a short marketing exercise the site was sold to Cala Homes later in 2017.
