Scott Properties promoted the site through the emerging Great Yarmouth Local Plan, and submitted a planning application in 2016 following pre-application discussions with the Council and Parish Council and a wider public consultation. Outline planning permission was granted in 2018 following a lengthy S106 negotiation, and the site was sold to Executive Real Estate in 2021.
